San Jose Sharks ready to rev it back up

McLellan wanted up-tempo practices because of the team’s experience a year ago, after it returned from Sweden and had a week off before the first game in North America. The Sharks got off to a slow start, and he wondered if he didn’t push the team hard enough in practices.

“Was it the right thing? I guess we’ll find out over the next little bit,” McLellan said.

San Jose faces Anaheim tonight. Both teams are coming off five days rest, but only Anaheim had to travel from Europe to get there.
